At Calvary Belleville, we exist to encourage, build up, and strengthen your faith through God’s word, worship, and fellowship.
Our beliefs.
We believe the local church should be a place where people feel seen, known, and loved.
At Calvary, we gather weekly to worship, learn from the Bible, and build meaningful relationships that strengthen our walk with Jesus. We believe in the transforming power of Jesus, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the authority of Scripture.

A Bit About Our History
-
Calvary Temple began in 1932 with small prayer meetings held in local homes. A few years later, a house was purchased and became known as Grace Chapel, which was renovated for worship with the pastor living upstairs. During this time, the church formally affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). In 1950, Grace Chapel was sold, and the first official Calvary Temple building opened, marking a new season of growth.
-
God’s blessing and rapid expansion led to the construction of a larger church just nine years after the previous move. During the 1970s, the church continued to thrive, with many people coming to faith and a growing number of young adults pursuing ministry training at Bible College.
-
In the early 1980s, property was purchased on the west edge of the city, and by 1985, Calvary Temple moved into its current location at 679 Dundas St W. These years were also marked by strong involvement in global missions, with teams traveling abroad to share the Gospel. In 1995, the church launched a new ministry, Desert Stream, on the city’s east side—an outreach that continues to thrive today.
-
In recent years, Calvary Belleville has welcomed many new families, launched new ministries, and continued to see lives transformed through salvations and baptisms. As the church celebrates its rich legacy, it looks forward with faith and anticipation for all that God has yet to do.
